'Affiliate scheme' brings market's best deals to local buyers
8 April 2009
Estate agents across the country are launching the ‘whitehot property affiliate scheme’, which they claim will bring the market’s best property deals to local home movers.
‘whitehot properties’ are realistically priced, chain-free properties sold on behalf of lenders and home builders. They include repossessed, part-exchange and new properties.
Home movers can now access the full range of whitehot properties from their local agent’s website by clicking on their ‘must-sell property’ or ‘whitehot property’ tab (see this website’s homepage).
whitehot properties are an opportunity for home buyers who may have been holding off purchasing, such as first time buyers, to take advantage of lower house prices. They provide exceptional value in a market that has already seen values fall by 20% since the 2007 peak. Many also have additional incentives such as deposits paid, to attract buyers.
Robin King, movewithus founding director, believes that buyers need to take advantage of the affordability of this type of property in the next few months to avoid missing out.
Robin King explained: “Now is the optimum time for cautious buyers to return to the market and take advantage of lower prices. Soon home builders will have sold much of their part exchange stock and the number of repossessed properties will fall dramatically as they are bought up by property investors. The signs are that the next six months will be a buyers market. After that, as lending returns, prices will firm up and the pendulum will swing back to sellers.”
